Terms of use and end user licence

Agreement

These terms are between you and [[YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME]], a sole proprietor based in [[CITY, STATE]], India (“we”, “us”). They cover the Screen Crisp application and this website. Installing or using Screen Crisp means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not install the app.

Screen Crisp is distributed through the Microsoft Store, so the Microsoft Store Terms of Sale also apply to your purchase. Where those terms govern the sale itself — payment, entitlement and refunds — they take precedence over anything here.

Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Screen Crisp on the devices your Microsoft Store entitlement permits, for as long as these terms are observed. You may use it for personal or commercial work, including client and internal company videos.

Screen Crisp is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights in the software, its name and its branding that are not expressly granted here.

Free and Pro

Recording and the full editor are free. A Pro licence unlocks MP4 and GIF export without a watermark. Which features your licence covers is determined by the entitlement Microsoft records against your Microsoft account.

What you may not do

Do not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app except where that restriction is unenforceable under law that applies to you. Do not resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute it, or share a licence you obtained for your own use. Do not remove or alter any notice in the app, and do not attempt to bypass the export licence check.

Do not use Screen Crisp to record anything you have no right to record. Screen recording of other people, calls, meetings or protected material may require their consent or a licence where you live. That responsibility is yours, and it is the one obligation in these terms most likely to matter in practice.

Your recordings

You own everything you create with Screen Crisp. We claim no rights in your recordings, projects or exported files, and we never receive them — the app writes them to your PC and nowhere else.

Purchases and refunds

Microsoft sells Screen Crisp, takes payment and handles refunds under its own policy. We cannot issue, approve or refuse a Store refund. See the refund policy for how to request one and what happens to the app afterwards.

Updates

Updates are delivered through the Microsoft Store and may add, change or remove features. We aim not to remove anything you rely on, but we do not promise that every feature will remain forever. Security and compatibility updates may be required for the app to keep working on supported versions of Windows.

Availability and warranties

Screen Crisp is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that a recording or export will succeed in every configuration of hardware, drivers and Windows settings. Keep your own copies of work that matters.

Nothing here excludes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law, including remedies for digital content that is faulty or not as described.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost recordings, lost profits, lost data or any indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Screen Crisp in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Ending the licence

Your licence ends if you stop observing these terms in a material way, or if your Store entitlement ends, for example after a refund. When it ends, stop using the app and uninstall it. Recordings and files already on your PC remain yours and are unaffected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at [[CITY]], India have exclusive jurisdiction. If you use Screen Crisp as a consumer elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the current version, and continuing to use Screen Crisp after a change means you accept the updated terms.
